The main difference between the beaching and Dry Dock process is that there is a presence of a concrete barrier between seawater and dismantled ship in a dry dock process that prevents any chance of the parts of the vessel seeping into the water.

Buoy process – This method of dismantling the vessel is carried out by following the floating method by ship scrap yards and ship recycling companies. In this process, the ship scrapping and dismantling of the obsolete vessel is done by cutting or separating the parts of a vessel in the vertical direction which starts from the top of the vessel and then gradually reaches the bottom of the ship. The parts of the vessel do not come in contact with the seawater and most of the ship recycling companies use this method followed by green ship recycling.
